Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed a flair in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her athletic abilities during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first attempt, Felix placed second in the 200 meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic prize at the 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s and set the new world junior record. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to take home the 200 meters race. In 2007, she won this title and beat her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three in all her events.
