Lil Yacthy, is a musician, rapper and songwriter, best known for his single 'One Night'. Miles Parks McCollum, his real name, is Miles Parks McCollum. He is also known as the names Nautica Boat Boy and Lil Boat. Two mixtapes, "Summer Songs 2" and "Lil Boat" led him to become an international household name. But this was not his first attempt as a singer. His first two singles, 'One Night' (August 2015) and 'Minnesota' (August 2015) were what earned him his first fame. These tracks were released on the debut EP, Extended Play, called 'Summer Songs. His current label roster includes  Capital Records and  Quality Control Music and  Motown Records. Yachty has worked with well-known rappers such as 'D.R.A.M' and 'Chance the Rapper' in addition to many others. Yachty's official site also has his merchandise. Yachty was attending Alabama State University to graduate however he resigned after only two months. Yachty's passion for music was evident from an early age. He was inspired by his father, who introduced him to many styles of music. In 2015, he took the title "Yachty" to move from Atlanta to New York. He wanted to achieve success in his professional life. He stayed with a friend in New York and searched for opportunities to join the music industry. While there, he connected with street style celebrities online and built a decent fan following on Instagram. He formed a partnership with Burberry Perry (producer and beat maker) and his other main collaborator, K$upreme. The group is referred to as "The Saling Team' and worked in Lil Yachty's studio. Drake's OVO Sound Radio broadcast his popular track "Minnesota". It was his first success. The song "1Night" was Lil Yachty’s breakthrough hit. He uploaded the video of the track on YouTube and the song quickly became viral. Media attention was paid to him when the SoundCloud version of his song 'One Night' was featured in a meme viral video.
