Alison Doody
Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish actress and model. She made her feature film debut by playing a minor role in the Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to appear as a Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte in Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was asked by a photographer to model and began to perform the role of a model. She then developed her career as a commercial model. Doody was adamantly against glamour and sexually explicit work. This was a policy was extended to her acting career. Once she caught the attention of the director of casting in the upcoming James Bond movie, she participated of A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody appears as a part of John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3. She is listed as one of the 12 most promising actors of 1986. 38. Doody was 18 years old as she played the character of Doody in Bond, was and is still the most youthful Bond gal until today. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she portrayed IRA members Siobhan Doovan. Doody played a non-speaking part in the 1987 television adaptation of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in his dream. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading part in Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. Then she took her greatest role in the film Taffin as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. She then moved to Hollywood. She was chosen to succeed Cybill Shepherd as the spokeswoman of L'Oreal She went on to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his agent and girlfriend. Doody was part of The 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony to receive an award. She starred along alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Doody filmed a role in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama that aired on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. Pam Jefferson, the character she played in E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season of two seasons. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. The film was awarded the Almeria film award on 21 November 2018.
