Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18 on the 18th of November located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident right from the first day she enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. The school placed second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks following her first attempt. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and was then accepted into University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix's debut Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the record of world juniors for taking 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. As of 2005, she was the youngest World Champion in the 200m of all time at the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007 by surpassing her long-time Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She often finished at the top of the podium in every event.
